Many members are looking to connect with others who have been diagnosed with the same health issues. If you like, you may add your name to this thread along with details about your conditions. After that, please see this area that has boards for various health issues.

I have been able to add back most foods now and just eat paleo, but have to be careful of nuts. I pay for it if I eat too many at once (and that doesn't take a lot!).

I don't have a specific AIP diagnosis, but I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, adrenal fatigue, eczema and loads and loads of of allergies (I am allergic to dairy (an anaphalactic reaction), most flowering plants, most trees, nettles, grass, pretty much all animals that have fur, a bunch of chemicals and scents and a whole host more).
I am also gluten intolerant and have sensitivities to some nightshades (tomatoes and potatoes) and almonds. I can eat eggs, and nightshade spices. Most seeds seem to be OK too but I have not tried reintroducing any nuts beyond the almonds that I found that I could not eat.
I also have PTSD and an anxiety disorder involving cars (from a brutal car accident).

We are following the AIP for my husband Don who has pulmonary fibrosis. I have only read one article online that suggested it is an autoimmune disease, but he also has many symptoms that are said to be common to many autoimmune diseases. His lung specialist did say that digestive problems (he has had heartburn for most of his adult life) and pulmonary fibrosis almost always go hand in hand. He has seen a great amount of success after only 3 months following the AIP.

Hi my name is Laura. I suffer from psoriasis, lichen sclerosis, and raynauds. All of these later in life. I am 57 and have sue red for about 12 years now. I have been paleo for 5 weeks now. I am overweight and have seen great results with my weight loss but continue to have pretty bad flair of my psoriasis. Just wondering how long it took others with psoriasis to see frequent remissions

Hello everyone! I'm new here and am still looking around. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, Growth Hormone Deficiency, Severe Adrenal Fatigue, and food allergies 9 years ago. I'm so glad I've stumbled upon the Autoimmune Paleo protocol!! I've learned more about my disease in the last few weeks than I have in the last 9 years! I'm slowly implementing paleo and exercise in my life and can't wait to feel better!

I was diagnosed with psoriasis when I was 40 yrs old (am now 62) and used topical treatments until they were no longer effective and my psoriasis flared up major time. I started on Humira injections approximately 4 yrs ago and it keeps me clear for the most part. I was diagnosed with IBS in my early 40s but I think I had it for several years prior to that. I started Paleo just recently and think I need to follow the FODMAP chart as I have been having reactions to some of the food items listed on the "foods to avoid" side of the chart.

Hi! I have had Vitiligo since I had kids a few years ago, I have done the uv therapy and topical treatments, I just started Paleo Autoimmune 3 weeks ago. I'd love to hear from anyone else that has it and what their experience has been thanks!

I was diagnosed with crones 7 years ago. Since eating paleo for the last 4 months I've been able to completely get off all my prescription meds which I was taking 4 times per day. I still occasionally has some symptoms but up to 90 percent of my symptoms are gone.

Hello, My name is Steph. I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia about 20 years ago. My gut has been overwhelmed with antibiotics. First, for several years to treat acne and, second for any dental treatment because I have mitrovalve prolapse. I have seasonal, chemical, and animal fur allergies. I cannot tolerate foods including gluten, corn (and all products containing corn), rice, and nightshades. I have IBS and low thyroid. About 10 days ago I purchased The Paleo Approach and am hopeful to reduce my symptoms.

Hi, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis at the end of 2013 at 35 after the birth of my daughter, now 18 months old. I'm now gluten free. After 15 years of vegetarianism, I have been eating meat in preparation to do AIP. Dietary changes are improving my symptoms, but I believe I need to remove more foods from my diet. I struggle with severe joint pain and fatigue despite my TSH in normal range, and it is suspected that I may have Fibromyalgia.

I have Lupus Nephritis and started the AIP two weeks ago but now told by health professional I shouldn't be eating much meat and no red or pork. Any one with similar condition? So, should I forgo this and just eat fruits/veggies? Not sure I can eat quite that restrictively.

I was diagnosed last October with psoriatic arthritis. Looking back, I think I've had small patches of psoriasis since I was a young child, and mild bouts of the arthritis since puberty, although it only really became a problem since having my first child 6.5 years ago. I dabbled with the conventional route (sulfasalazine made me vomit a lot; prednisone made me feel generally worse than not taking it), and politely declined MTX injections. I have an MD/naturopath (he's both) who has done a whole load of tests and is doing MORA therapy for a whole host of intolerances (including the usual suspects). I have no idea if that kind of therapy works, but he's also doing mitochondrial therapy in the form of some targeted high-dose vitamins and more good bacteria than you can shake a stick at. My skin doesn't really bother me, but equally it's not really any better yet and I still have joint pain, but I have lost weight and have a bit more energy, and the migraines are gone! I think I might be one of those people that heals slowly ... Oh, and I've been strict AIP for almost 3 months, working towards it for a month or so before that.

I was never given an "official" diagnosis as my disease falls into the spectrum of Guillain-Barre/CIDP but with obvious inconsistencies. So I do know I have some sort of inflammatory Demyelinating neuropathy and I'll see a specialist soon. I was diagnosed with this at age 22 (still 22 now) and good god I hate it. Was making excellent progress on AIP until going on vacation where I relapsed instantly. Oddly enough it's the same place where I had my initial lapse so I'm going to consider it an environmental sensitivity and hope for progress when I get back. Without AIP my life would be a complete waste so thank you Sarah for this book

I was diagnosed with psoriasis at 15, but I think it started at age 10. At 19, diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis. This past February at age 38 I was diagnosed (sera positive) with rheumatoid arthritis.
