Hey everyone! I have celiac and am battling candida overgrowth! Hi Kara, we are also having issues with Candida. Do you take anything, or go through any "processes", to get rid of it! It's a mean animal! We are looking into cleanses, probiotics and other enzymes now to get rid of it ourselves... I'm eating mostly to kill it but I can't give up my sweet potatoes or bananas. I'm also taking a probiotic to replace the good stuff and I'm taking oil of oregano in capsule form. It's an anti fungal.

I have hashimotos and adrenal fatigue. Hi Staci, this is my first attempt at message boards. I am learning too. This disease has thrown me for a loop. I wish I had been diagnosed years ago. Hashimotos, adrenal fatigue, olgilvie syndrome, and add. I forgot that one earlier.

I have pretty bad psoriasis....at least 3 types. I started in February this year with lowcarb which quickly morphed into paleo and then in March changed even more by beginning the AIP. I have just finished 5 weeks of AIP. I can see improvement in my nails, but improvement in my skin does not seem to be happening....or if it is it is so slow that it is hard to see. I am disappointed in that. But I'm hanging in. I am not having a problem with sticking with the eating as I seem to have lost most of my appetite/cravings. I have developed a liking for chicken liver and for greens. I believe the healthier food is great for me. I also have some digestive issues. I am off the prilosec completely and sometimes use the betaine hcl....but still have some problems with digestion. I am fortunate not to have PA and I am thankful.....but my skin is fairly wretched. I have lost 21 lbs (yeah!) but still have a way to go on that.
So I am settling in on the way of eating and that is where I am putting my focus. I have made beet kvass and have kombucha (swamp water (0:) fermenting. I tried coconut kefir and don't think that is something I am going to be able to eat....it reminds me too much of dairy yogurt, ick. I will try water kefir and I plan on making sour kraut. My biggest thing at the moment is concern over fish.....I love it but there is not much wild caught where I live. Is farmed salmon from Kroger going to work? I read it is GMO free.....but I wonder. I do have a great shop nearby that sells grassfed and finished beef and they have good chicken.....so fish is the biggest concern. I am eating a lot of it just not sure how healthy it is.
I'm happy I found this forum.....I have Sarah's book and Mickey's cookbook.

The DX I struggle with the most is recurrent flares of Ulcerative Colitis. I was DX'd 15yrs ago but the last 2 years have been the most difficult to keep under control. I also am hypothyroid which is in check with NDT and mild fibromyalgia which I've been able to keep in remission until just recently with my last UC flare. Right now my GI is treating me for SIBO with Xifaxan and I'm taking Perscript Assist and Megaspore, it seems to be helping but in the last 3 weeks I've had 2 attacks of what I can only describe as waves of labor pains through the middle of my stomach ... Back to the drawing board for more answers!

Hi! I have undifferentiated Spondyloarthropathy which is in the Spondylitis family of diseases but I don't quite fit into a specific category (yet). Diagnosed roughly 26 years ago. My obvious symptoms are swollen sore knees (arthritis).

My rheumatologist thinks I have Palindromic Rheumatism, which I understand is a type of Rheumatoid Arthritis. I am allergic to both medicines used to treat this disease, so she gave me an anti-inflammatory diet which has helped quite a bit. It is different from Sarah's AIP and through experimentation I discovered several things on it that affect me - nuts being a huge one that was allowed on that diet. I also seem to have problems with strawberries, nightshades, eggs and rice (which was allowed), but not with yogurt, butter, caffeine, cheese and citrus (which were not allowed). Everyone is so different, it really is a very individual thing.

I have Crohn's disease - diagnosed at age 19, but it was probably developing for a couple years leading up to that. Me too! On the Crohn's disease.....I was diagnosed at 22 but definitely had mini flares before then are you AIP?
