Hi! I have been "all in" to the AIP for just over a month now and the results I have seen thus far are sustaining me here. However, I am also following the low FODMAP protocol and have noticed even foods with a moderate glycemic load affect my blood sugar levels and mood (HORRIBLE mood swings from snappy & irritable to crashing & crying lows), so I am very mindful of consuming only foods with a low glycemic load until my blood sugar levels are better regulated (I have a long history of a serious sweet tooth). All these restrictions make treating myself for all this effort and discipline tricky. Does anyone have ideas of foods I could treat myself to? Perhaps a homemade go-to dessert in moderation? (I don't tolerate coconut milk or cassava well either..) Or maybe a non-food treat.. What do you all do? Thanks so much for your ideas and support!
