I am having trouble doing paleo while breastfeeding. I have no energy and have mood swings (like weepy and really irritable). This is my second time at attempting paleo I quit for these same reasons before. When I add in grains (rice and oats) these problems go away. Help?

Oh gosh, I nursed on demand the entire time until I started introducing solids after 7 months {I did baby led weaning, if you're familiar with it}. I have a daughter who is four years older than my son, so between the two of them I was pretty exhausted. Ha! I had some form of carbs at every meal, usually sweet potato with lots of additional veggies so I definitely fell in the "high carb paleo" category. I also made sure I had plenty of good fats, avocado especially.
