Hi everyone
I'm new here and this is probably not the right place for my question...
I see Sarah Ballantyne recommends 100-200 grams of carbohydrate per day. I seem to be having a hard time getting that high. I'm only semi-paleo at present (easing into it - eating potatoes, dairy, a small amount of legumes, but no wheat). I'm feeling well, and am slowing losing a bit of weight (yay!)
What do you eat to get up to that amount of carbs?
Thanks Miranda in Aus

considering you're still eating potatoes, and 1 large white potato is 64g of carbohydrate, I don't see how you think you're *not* getting enough carbs! You can check the grams of carbs on your foods here at (this link is direct to potato so you can check it out) nutritiondata.self.com/facts/vegetables-and-vegetable-products/2551/2I eat vegetables at every meal, breakfast, lunch, and supper. Plus a serving of fruit or two per day. It's really quite easy to get in 100 g of carbohydrate.

Thanks for your reply. I've added up a typical day and if I eat potato, sweet potato and a high carb fruit like a banana I get to 114 grams. I'm trying to eliminate the potato though, and in that case I get down to 93 grams. A bit of dark chocolate could fill the gap though!

I know I can have a hard time getting in all my carbs, too. Other starchy veggies, like carrots, beets, parsnips, or even cauliflower, can help.
