Hi I'm new here, just started AIP last week (except I'm still buying mostly regular meats due to income ). Anyway, I just started a new job last week as a truck driver (done it in the past and ate whatever was convenient) I will/should only be gone 1-2 days and I just don't know what to do about meals on the road. Space is limited (day cab) I plan to pack some but its going to be hard with no way to heat food up easily (will be in motels overnight). Any suggestions/ideas? I cut coffee out but drink hot water, ACV, lemon and local honey twice a day. I've also added organic tea 1x a day, and sleep is going to be very crazy. Can I do this? Thanks Jenn

I don't think it should be too hard if you can bring a cooler along. But it depends on your tastes too. Do you like canned fish like sardines? Canned olives, pineapple and applesauce are pretty handy. Cold salad like tuna or chicken in a lettuce wrap? Veggie sticks? Fresh fruit? make beef jerky? i personally like some leftovers cold but you might not. maybe a snack mix of coconut flakes and dried fruit. if you have money i hear epic bars are good, fruit leather or freeze dried fruit for snacking too. soup The motel at night will likely have a microwave- soup might be a good way to get more nutrients in plus bone broth. maybe an insulated themos you could fill and take on the road?

Thanks, I don't mind some of my leftovers cold either. In training this week I've been bringing salad with cold chicken. I forgot about tuna !(don't like sardines or olives). I was thinking of trying to make beef jerky. Once the job is going a few weeks there will be money available too. Im so afraid I will go back to eating bad because I'm going to be rushing all the time. Coffee is also going to be tough to stay away from. Now I'm used to going to bed at 9:30-10 lol
