Hi all! Has anyone used teff? I noticed it was on the "yes" list in the Paleo Approach Cookbook. I remember eating it a very long time ago, but it was too expensive to bother using. Now with all the limits on what I can eat, I am willing to buy it again. Just wondering if anyone has any comments about it before I commit! Thanks!

Did you buy some? How have your experiments gone? I honestly don't even know what teff is

Hi- Teff is a grain from Africa. I am wondering why it is ok'd on the AIP. I havent had any yet, so I wanted to make sure it was not a typo that put Teff on the "yes" list. I am just starting to re-introduce spices, so if Teff is not ok, no big deal.

Also, where did you see it as a "yes" in the cookbook? I just went through the Yes lists twice and didn't see it. But I did see it in the Foods to Avoid list on page 29-under Grains Maybe you saw taro and jumped to teff because you wanted it?

I saw teff under the "yes-no-maybe so" list as "yes.

Huh. You're right, of course. It's in the back of the book as a Yes. But I would still avoid it initially and then try adding it in later to see how your body responds.
