I did Paleo for three months and lost 55lbs. I went off the diet as a reward, this was a bad move since I haven't been able to get back on Paleo. About two months after I have been off Paleo my hair is shedding fast and furious for the last 3 mths. I have regrowth so not worried about going bald but had this happened to anyone else? Why would it fall out from a diet when I was eating the best I ever have?

Here's what a search found: paleoleap.com/paleo-for-healthy-hair/paleodietnews.com/1967/the-paleo-diet-and-hair-loss/Normally losing hair is a hormone issue-have you had your thyroid tested recently? I would suggest seeing a doctor to discuss it (preferably someone who understands Paleo-see PrimalDocs.com). It's possible you were too low carb and that put pressure on your thyroid. I would also make sure you're eating enough iodine. And you may want to be checked for mineral deficiencies. Sometimes extreme weight loss can wreak havoc on the body. Maybe get your sex hormone levels checked as well. Try to figure it out and get back to clean eating! There's nothing about Paleo that would cause hair loss...but maybe you needed to tweak things a bit.

I would also say thyroid. Check Dr Google to see if you have any other low thyroid symptoms and get your T3 and T4 tested. Make sure your doc does this test and not just TSH, which is meaningless.
Hopefully you can get your eating in order soon. Paleo is a long term lifestyle, not a diet.
