The question of traffic to this site vs the FB page is an interesting one. I've been reading The Paleo Mom's blog for a year now, am subscribed to her newsletter, purchased The Paleo Approach in February, and the cookbook a few weeks ago, and it was only through today's giveaway that I realized there was actually this separate Paleo Mom Community site. I wish I'd seen it last year! Margretta I'm glad you're here! This site was created in April. It is mentioned in every TPM newsletter, weekly on TPM Facebook page, and is on the sidebar of TPM site. I don't know why it took me so long to realize that we should add it to the giveaway Rafflecopter, ha ha! I really like this site (obviously!). The moderators are warm and knowledgeable, and do a great job answering questions and offering support. I like that it's divided into categories, that there are boards for countries and states, etc.

I realise this is an old thread, but I have also been wondering why this forum is not more active. I thought people would jump all over it when it was made available!
There is no way I would participate in the FB page - zero privacy, for one thing!!

People often miss Pinned posts when using the FB app because it does not show up. You have to actually click the "Show Pinned Post" in order to read it. You can search on groups on the phone but it's way at the top of the far right and I bet many people miss that little magnifying glass.

People will go where they already go, and where there's a lot of "there" there. I don't like or use a cellphone (except when I'm traveling and need to), but most normal people do, so the FB page is going to continue to be accessed via cellphone, which, apparently, doesn't show the Search Functionality. I understand what you are saying and as a new member to both-I am happy to be a part of these communities. I don't feel so alone in this all. It seems the underlying issue is the nature of Facebook/facebook groups/cell phone apps and the way many people take advantage of them (or not). Facebook is NOT a great curator; it's popular and simple. I have felt the frustrations of trying to find old posts that I MADE to no avail! (so I feel ya)
Oh and perhaps "normal" is not the word you are looking for...
