No threads here yet! Any of you have any favourite meals for the freezer?

Mine feel pretty boring since we do them so often! Meatballs, pesto, chilli con carne/pollo, spag bol sauces, etc. I would love some other ideas!

Do you mean things you pre-cook and put into the freezer for leftovers? Or meals you prep in advance, then thaw and cook?

For me it would be pre-cooked and frozen, so much easier on the nights I work and pick up our son from after-school care :-)

What a day of food prep looks like for me: -4 Chickens in a crockpot to be cooked and deboned and packaged in meal size freezer containers. -Brown 4-6 pounds of ground meat (usually beef and lamb) and package in meal size freezer containers. -Shred tons of fruits and veggies with food processor (depending on what the recipe is calling for) for casserole/crockpot. At least 4 meals worth (which will depend on how many will be eating, for us it is 3) with leftovers for the next day. Write instructions for what spices to add, how to cook and which meat to add. -Cube tons of fruits and veggies with knife (depending on what the recipe is calling for) for casserole/crockpot. At least 4 meals worth with leftovers for the next day. Write instructions for what spices to add, how to cook and which meat to add. -Cut up carrots, celery, pineapple and melon for snacks throughout the week. -Leftovers get eaten for lunch the next day or frozen for another meal another week. As we have not been on Paleo/AIP for very long, I do not have any go-to meals yet (I hope to share some soon!!!). I am still experimenting and getting input from my sons on what they like and do not like. I will say...I am branching way out into areas I never thought I would go such as lettuce soup and plantain soup (google for recipes and modify as needed). The prep day is essential though as I am not home very much during the week. I have a love affair with my crockpot...there would be no healthy meals without it. I look forward to any amazing freezer recipes (AIP) that anyone has as well!!!
