I need ideas. I was the mama with goldfish and crackers and gave those to my kiddos for snacks. I don't keep those at home anymore, but I seriously run out of ideas on what to feed my little ones when they are in between meals and are just hungry for a little snack. Just wondering what other mamas with littles do for their kiddos when they are trying to follow a paleo diet.

Hi there! My go-to snacks for my 2 yr old are: dried apricots, raisins, nuts, grapes, blanched carrots (she can't quite figure out how to chew up raw carrots completely yet and just has to spit them out eventually or she keeps them in her cheeks (!?) and other veggies dipped in cashew cream (soaked, drained and blended cashews with filtered water). I also still give her the fruit "pouches"; like Happy Tot, Plum organics, etc, because she still likes them, and they are only fruit and veggies. I do occasionally let her have gf pretzels. another good thing is to make paleo pancakes and freeze them, and when you are ready, thaw and spread almond butter, sunbutter, or whatever you like to use as substitutes for them. Most frequently we do nuts, fruits and vegetables for snacks, but I will think a little bit more and get back to you!!!
