I know that the best answer for "What do I eat for breakfast?" is leftovers, etc. However, I really like breakfast food! Is there anything "breakfast-like" that we can eat? I have made AIP plantain wraps, and I could make those thicker, like pancakes, I suppose. Is there anything else that "seems" like cereal, pancakes, eggs, etc?
I miss breakfast foods....

Thanks, I had kind of forgotten about sausage. It's certainly more "breakfast" than leftover chicken and salad. I guess it also might just be one of those things i need to get over and move on. I have just always been a breakfast eater and have always loved breakfast foods. Maybe it is the high carb thing...

My Mom is Korean, so our meals were always non-traditional. It took my husband many years to think more broadly about breakfast choices-it was hard to set aside those cultural expectations. Good luck to you!

I like a recipe from Against All Grain - Paleo breakfast cookies - yum! I like to make them even easier as bars, and they look better that way too.

Yes-don't forget about sausage & eggs! I basically eat "breakfast" foods every day-but then instead of eggs, I eat vegetables (leftover or just some spinach with olive oil on top). Then I add on my daily dose of sauerkraut and either liver pate or a 1/2 cup of bone broth (depending on what I made that week). Start with foods you know and love for breakfast, then gradually as you focus on nutrient density, you'll learn to love eating other things that aren't typical breakfast foods But you can also look for recipes for plantain pancakes, "noatmeal" (normally squash porridge substitutes-but they're pretty sweet), breakfast "cookies" . I like to make hashes, too, but like someone else said, it's nice to make things ahead so you don't have to cook in the morning! I'll make things that take longer on weekends instead.

I want to thank everyone for providing some links here. I will starting in just over a week so I am getting a grocery list ready. With all these ideas for breakfast, I know I'll at least be eating breakfast. LOL! I'll have to see if someone started another thread for lunch. :-)
