Has anyone found good restaurants in the Birmingham area where you can eat AIP or Paleo? Here's what I've verified so far: Jim N Nicks:Classic pulled pork (meat is smoked) Slow cooked collards (cooked in pork fat) Fresh fruit (I'd seen it mentioned online somewhere that you can get a plain baked sweet potato, but those aren't always available) Urban Cookhouse: All of the Fork & Knife meal meats are safe:Chipotle Braised Pork, Smoked Turkey, Pineapple ham, Grilled Chicken, Lime-marinated steak, Wood-fired shrimp kabob Sides:Fresh fruit Salad:Berry Good Salad (exclude feta, exclude nuts for AIP, don't use the citrus vinaigrette dressing) Side note: Things that I hoped would be ok, but contain soybean oil are: roasted vegetables and citrus vinaigrette dressing Zoe's Kitchen
Has pdf allergen menu available: zoeskitchen.com/getmedia/252cdd48-3c3a-40df-9732-ae869a6d9b71/Nutrition_Allergen-Information-Guide.aspx If you can eat egg: Chicken salad, Egg salad, Tuna salad Safe: Citrus balsamic dressing, Zoe's Greek Dressing, side of roasted vegetables, seasonal fresh fruit The kids grilled chicken fingers are listed as being safe (no gluten or major allergens), so I'm not sure why those are listed as safe when the other grilled chicken items on the menu are not unless since they're all listed by full meal that the sides have allergens, but the chicken does not.

And I haven't tried eating from here since starting AIP, but Homewood Gourmet has one Paleo meal option available for purchase each week (http://www.homewoodgourmet.com/)

When I visit Birmingham, I go to Whole Foods or pack my own.

Update to one of my previous posts, Homewood Gourmet no longer has paleo meal options.
One new place that is Paleo/AIP friendly is Consider it Joy Baking in Bluff Park. In addition to baked things, they also have pre-made meals you can purchase (and some of them can be made AIP if you reserve them during the first part of the week and you request it to be AIP).
Babalu is another restaurant in Birmingham where you can modify menu items to make them paleo-friendly. Their staff has been great at dealing with it as well--they have been very accommodating and never give me a hard time about needing to modify the menu items.
There are a couple items on the menu at Little Donkey in Homewood that can be easily modified to be paleo, but both times I've eaten there, the service has been less than stellar. I did end up with food both times that did not make me sick afterward, but the servers seemed very skeptical of me needing to make sure my food did not include gluten, dairy, or corn.
And this isn't in Birmingham, but if anyone is up in the Huntsville area, Mason-Dixon Bakery & Bistro has some paleo options on their menu.
