Hmmm... this is a tough one as so much of the yogurt in the grocery store is more processed than you might want your little one to eat. Sarah has a great recipe for coconut milk yogurt (http://www.thepaleomom.com/2012/04/recipe-coconut-milk-kefir-yogurt.html). We can't tolerate coconut so I use one with cashew milk (or a cashew almond blend). You can also try your local stores or farmers markets to see if there is anyone local making yogurt, and if they do it from raw milk all the better.

When my daughter was one, I fed her coconut milk yogurt, organic cow's milk yogurt, and tried goat's and soy (all before we went paleo, but I still feed her organic milk occasionally). Lately, (she is two on Friday) I feed her gluten free, soy free Latta brand grass-fed organic kefir. It is a 5.25 oz size, and she will eat about half at a time. I am always pleased when I find a full fat organic yogurt that I like, and I like that this one is kefir. It's also not sweetened with juice, so there is not a ton of extra sugar. So far, it is the best one we've found. I've tasted it, and it is so thick that it reminds me of cream cheese! Does your little one like the fruit pouches (ex. Plum organics, Ella's kitchen, happy tot, etc)? Just wondering, because my daughter loves those, and we found a 4 oz organic kefir "pouch" that she is crazy about. Lifeway organic "Pro bug". These have fruit flavor added and a little cane sugar, so they are a little sweeter (10g vs 7g sugar). I like the Latta better, but the pouches are nice because they are portable.

Interested to see any suggestions on this - I live in France and have lots of great full-fat dairy here, but will be in the States for a month in July & have 2 little ones who eat yogurt 1-2x a day (plain, full fat, and in the US I'd only consider organic due to growth hormone & antibiotics). I seem to remember there was one brand at Whole Foods last year but maybe it was only lowfat & I stirred some cream into it?

Might want to try goat's milk and make yogurt or kefir. It's in season right now so you might be able to find some locally.

There is a specialty cheese shop nearby where i'm staying, hoping they have small batch butter and some decent yogurt options...
