Ugh . . probably had the best two months in a long time these past two months . . . virtually minimal joint pain, some skin clearing (psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis) . . then this week on Tues night I got a stomach bug thing . . no vomiting but lots of nausea and diarrhea . . stayed home from work for two days, didn't eat at ALL Wednesday, kept food down Thursday. Thur night into Friday, some of the worst joint pain I've had in months. I'm hoping this is a minor setback / flare from the bug? It's so discouraging. Anyone been through this recently or at all? Words of advice? I'm trying to stay positive and still of course being strict AIP.

Actually, stomach viruses can damage or inflame the gut lining and cause temporary IBS. Even though we appear to be over a stomach flu in a few days, the gut damage or inflammation-if it happens-can take weeks to heal. There is straightforward info about it here: ibs.about.com/od/symptomsofib1/a/IBS-PI.htmMy perfectly healthy and normal husband dealt with IBS after a stomach virus. It took two months for complete healing, which he facilitated with Aloe Vera, probiotics, and digestive enzymes. Hope you feel better soon! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
