Is fruit really necessary? Last week and a half Or so I've been doing green smoothies with some fruit of course thinking since it's allowed I should be eating it but I really don't like fruit. Well except banana and blueberry.

No, it's not necessary. It can be a great source of antioxidants, polyphenols, and fiber, but there isn't anything you need that can't be sourced from meat and vegetables. Depending on your goals, it may be easier to accidentally go too low carb without fruit, so if you're avoiding it you may need more roots to keep your energy and hormones steady.

You definitely don't have to eat fruit if you don't like it much. The idea is to eat a wide variety of foods, so keep that in mind and don't overdo it on the bananas and blueberries

I have never been a big fruit eater even though I have a huge sweet tooth! I can go long periods of time without fruit and I don't think it's a problem at all.
