Stressful day!
I was on my way to work, walking down to the bus-stop (I take transit as I cannot afford to pay for parking in downtown Calgary on a massage therapists wages).
Crossing a road, at the cross-walk, walk sign in my favour, when some idiot decided to try jumping the lights... he came within inches of hitting me, braked and stopped halfway across the eastbound lane (on a very busy road), then got T-boned by another car....
Fortunately, I was not hurt, but the woman driving the car that hit him was heavily pregnant, so she had to go to hospital to get checked out. She did say that she felt OK though, but was very upset.
Nightmare!
I ended up having to give a statement to the police, and he will prob get a ticket/fine...
And didn't get to work (I called them and explained that I might be late and they said to just go home and they would cancel all my appointments), so that means that I lost a days wages too...
I now have a splitting headache though that I am sure is caused by stress.

I'm so glad you're okay! I can totally understand why you are stressed. Hope you can have a peaceful evening and a productive day tomorrow.

I am pretty sure my headache (which has been constant since it happened) is due to whiplash - even though I was not in a car, I whipped my head round so fast when it all happened (within about 3 seconds) that I think I stressed/strained some neck muscles... I can even pinpoint the affected ones - can barely move my head without causing a more severe headache atm! Thank goodness I work with a chiropractor who will sort me out!

Gosh, how scary I'm glad you're okay though! Hopefully a day of rest will calm the nerves and the headache too.
