I have been paleo for almost a year now after being diagnosed with autoimmune ITP. I did AIP in the beginning and added back all with no symptoms. I am not sure what caused my autoimmune disease so i'm still learning.I think the most frustrating part for me is not knowing what caused me to get an autoimmune disease and the fear of getting another one. I lost weight in tbe beginning but have been stuck now for awhile and I exercise 4-6 times a week. Also slowly trying to get my family on board but it is a challenge. Love this new site for support. Thanks!

I still don't know what caused my psoriasis in the beginning, but I was young when it started - I think personally that autoimmune disease can often be a bit of a mystery! Good for you for taking steps to improve your condition, but try not to worry about getting another one as that could add to the anxiety and create symptoms of its own. Sounds like you're doing really well - my family eat quite a few AIP meals now without really noticing it but it can be challenging. Thank you for sharing your story!
