Does anyone have any vitamin recommendations or supplements to help with fertility and/or luteal phase help? I just recently stopped the nuvaring and have been charting BBT and post ovulatory high temps only lasted 5 days. I read about Optivite PMT in the "Take charge of your own fertility" book and was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on the subject?
Thanks in advance!

My naturopath recommends taking different oils from full moon to new moon (I use evening primrose oil) and from new moon to full moon (I use fermented cod liver oil). Using these I have actually been able to get my cycles in balance to match the phases of the moon! I used to have luteal phase issues during the years I was trying to conceive, but more recently my cycles looked premenopausal, with some very long and some very short cycles. These supplements really seem to help. I do not have a good link for you, but you can google "menstrual cycle phases of the moon" and find some. Also, there may be some good information in Chris Kresser's Healthy Baby Code: my.chriskresser.com/program/healthy-baby-code/Good luck!

I took oral progesterone with earlier pregnancies, but with my most recent (she is four now), I used the Progesterone vaginal inserts. I don't remember the name, but they were a prescription. Started at 3DPO. I know that's not exactly natural though...

Vitex (chaste berry) lengthened my luteal phase when I was trying for a baby. Just stop taking it as soon as you know you are pregnant.

The supplements I've heard can help with progesterone are Vitex, maca, and vitamin B6. I take all 3. I can't tell if they're helping though. I don't have a luteal phase defect, but mine is borderline short (usually around 10-11 days).

I've also heard vitamin C is good. This website is a wealth of information regarding fertility supplements. natural-fertility-info.com
