Hi. I was diagnosed with MS & IBS in 1989. In the mid-nineties I broke out in hives for a while & tested as allergic to tomatoes. I didn't stop eating tomatoes but the hives went away. 1998-99 I was hyperthyroid (not hypothyroid) for a year (was on meds) but fine since. Around 2012 diagnosed with both Raynaud's Syndrome & Rheumatoid Arthritis. I have multiple autoimmune diseases but have been so busy with work I really didn't look into things as early as I should have. It was actually the painful "pregnant" bloating/abdominal distension that finally made me make the time to try to help myself. When a friend with different health issues went gluten-free, I did too. That helped some but not enough. I did some Paleo then too. I finally decided I had to make the time to try AIP & learn to cook. I ordered The Healing Kitchen & The Paleo Approach. I am cooking a lot from the former & still reading the latter. I have been fully compliant for a couple of weeks now & have started getting some more sleep too. I am finally making my health the priority.
