Soon, I leave for a work trip to Japan. I will be working aboard ship with no refrigerator every day so I need lunch ideas as if I were going to school maybe? I am brand new to paleo. I have been gluten free for 4 years now but am still having issues. I also have fodmap issues but have not nailed that down completely. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am hoping to test out ideas before I leave so I have an idea of what to shop for once I get there. Thanks in advance!

This is maybe a little bit late, but can you tolerate fresh veggies? If so, salads with canned tuna could work as a good lunch. Add some quality fats to it, like virgin olive oil. One easy meal that I often take with me to school that is also low fodmap, is tuna stir fried with frozen or fresh spinach, a little bit of acorn squash or cooked taro, steamed carrots and olives. But it's maybe not so tasty it if you can't reheat it.. I usually season the tuna with a lot of herbs, especially parsley. You could do something similar with canned wild salmon. Just throw in some veggies, some starchy vegetable if you like, and some fat.

Our go to foods for that are fresh fruits and veggies, hard boiled eggs and pre cooked bacon with a lunch box ice pack.
