Little off tangent.....but related, maybe.... Perhaps another cause of these post-aip/low carb head-aches: salt?? as in plain salt. I have been recuperating and sleeping rather well the last few weeks until.... Last evening our monthly delivery of grassfed meat arrived, together with our favorite snack: pork-crackling, salted+home-made by the butcher. I ate a few cracklings last evening just before bed and immediately felt some kind of "yuck", surpringly cause I love them.....later at night I had the same kind of headache. Now I remember I ate these cracklings daily + in evening during this low-carb period (about 2 bags a week, bag is 175 grammes, or a little over 6 ounces per bag) + we have added Keltic sea-salt in our daily food. This morning the headache did not completely go away with a paracetamol, but it subsided with banana and dates....potassium..... So apart from feeling better with starch, the headaches still came. I am not going to experiment again with the crackling, I have had enough of headaches for now......;-)) But I'll continue to experiment with avoiding added salt and even Keltic sea-salt for awhile Exercise is postponed but that's something to investigate too (later...;-)) Thanks everyone! All the best Monique

I heard something recently about regular salt (as in not sea salt, himalayan salt, or celtic salt)-and basically, it should be avoided.
