I read that L-Glutamine is good for repairing gut function (I have leaky gut). I am considering a powder form that has 5 g per teaspoon. How much should I take a day? Thank you!

Here's what Sarah did a few years back: www.thepaleomom.com/2012/07/tpm-tidbit-my-experiment-with-l.htmlAlso, check out these recommendations: www.paleoplan.com/2011/06-22/supplements-do-you-need-them/But then I found this: paleoleap.com/glutamine/He makes a good point about protein, anyway. But you can always try it for a while and see how you feel. The important thing is to constantly evaluate your situation to see what's working and what isn't. And remember that supplements shouldn't be a permanent addition to your life-try it for a while...then stop taking it. This will show you if you feel better with or without it and it will give your body a break. Sometimes you'll find you no longer need to take it (thus saving you a lot of money!).
