Has anyone purchased chicken bones or chicken bone broth online? My local WF usually has beef bones, but it's been difficult to find chicken bones (necks or backs) for broth. Thanks!

Easy enough to roast a whole chicken, then boil the leftover carcass. Can't really do that with a cow...

At home I usually use boneless chicken but I purchased a rotisserie chicken a couple days ago. I've had broth brewing every since! I actually added a couple beef soup bones to the chicken carcass.

I just use the leftover carcasses from my weekly homemade rotisserie chickens. We usually average two birds a week, I stash the bones in the freezer afterward and dump them all in my pressure cooker once a week. Any bones still in tact get used again the next week. I also throw in any random beef bones I might have. Hmm and feet. Really, can't go wrong with chicken feet!

Since you mentioned WF, I'm assuming you're looking for pastured chicken. But I thought I'd share that I've seen chicken necks/backs in Safeway (they keep all their odd parts-bones, liver, etc. in the freezer section)-for those who can't afford to source that kind of meat. Let it gel in the fridge overnight, then make sure you skim off the fat and throw it away.

We rarely buy rotisserie chicken. I'm too lazy and purchase skinless, boneless breasts most of the time. We don't have Safeway here. I guess I'll be a BBBG (beef bone broth girl) for now.
