I found out I had Hashi's in February. At the time my TSH was 7.7. I just had it retested and it is now at 4.66. It has improved, but still high on the range. My T3 and T4 though haven't changed much at all. I am trying to research out information as to why and what I can do about. I have another appointment with my primary care doctor to see if maybe I should be on Cytomel as well. Anyone else experience this?
T3 2.1 (normal 2.0-4.4) T4 0.81 (normal 0.93-1.70)
Thanks for any help!

Hi Hashimom, Congratulations on making progress in your journey! In his book called Why Do I Still Have Thyroid Symptoms? Dr. Datis Kharrazian outlines the six patterns of hypothyroidism, explains why each pattern happens, and gives suggestions for nutritional and herbal supplements which could address each pattern. In addition to the Paleo Approach this might be a good book to read and share with your doctor.

Thank you so much for the recommendation. I'm actually on a waiting list for that book through my library, but maybe I should just go ahead and purchase it.

Hello, I don't have Hashi but HAD, yes HAD ms. The medicine I take is LDN, low dose naltrexone and there are many who take it for your disorder. With it you can be symptom free. With LDN and an anti inflammatory diet like this Paleo Autoimmune is when healing comes. I wasn't on hard core paleo until about 4 weeks ago. But always had a very restricted diet. I did indulge in my pizza here n there and other garbage but wasn't much. Had I the focus I have now I would've been done with MS even sooner. Still very grateful tho. Now facing yet another issue but I have so much hope and faith in my entire healing protocol which includes tons of prayer, probiotics, paleo, sleep fresh air every day that I'm looking forward to first being symptom free and eventually healed. LDN has a yahoo group you can join. Please do a search on the threads for Hashi so you can read others experience with it. You can google the website to see the list of illnesses it treats which is basically all AI diseases. Good luck & Great Health!

Thank you! I have heard of it, but I haven't done much research about it. Thank you for your advice. :-)

Sure thing! Def def def please look into it. There's also a proboards site also. The main site is www.lowdosenaltrexone.orgIt looks a lil cheesy, waaaay overdue for some updating so don't let that throw you off. Any dr can write the Rx and bec it's so harmless, the website, pro boards and yahoo group lists LDN friendly drs. Even those that don't need to see you. They just need a confirmed diagnosis in writing from your medical records or other drs, pay their consult fee and they write the Rx. My GP writes my Rx so I don't need to pay his fee of course. But he's one who will also do the Rx. I'm happy to answer any other questions you have. This diet n LDN is the pathway to healing I believe!
