since following AIP I have been sleeping better, great! From a score of 1-10 (1 low-10 high) before aip: 2 after aip 5. But I want 10! I read The Paleo approach (but might have overlooked something?) and the advice of Paleomom blog. Using the orange glasses is a big help. Eating 4 hours before bed a big meal, isn't. I've been experimenting quite a bit: better sleeping results are with a big meal in the morning, not so big lunch and a very small meal at dinner. Dark cold bedroom: check. Green veggies, check. Plaintains, check. After 1800 I (try to) eat little to nothing. The emptier my stomach the better, so it seems. After 1800 our life is really boring, no tv, just the birds in the garden, cat on lap, book perhaps, some food prep for the next day perhaps. bedtime at 2200 (apart from now..;-)) During the day I do have some stress because of job.
Anyone around to give more tips and tricks to enhance my sleep? I have a problem falling to sleep and continuing sleep. I snore as well, which gives a kind of "light" sleep, doesn't feel restfull. It's been years really bad. So the improvement I feel on AIP is a big relief. But now I have tasted the better sleep I want more....now!....;-))
Perhaps using melatonin? But I am very apprehensive because it's a hormone. Like vit D i'd like to feed my body real food so it can make everything by it self, or is that for sleep too much wishful thinking? Also in Holland the store bought melatonin is very low in dose compared to US dose.
well thank you for reply!
Sleep tight...;-)
