I'm keen to get together with AIPers in London! Or even just to share advice on any AIP-friendly cafés, restaurants, or other social venues.

I heard there's a paleo cafe opening up in London soon - - I'm not sure now much of their food will be AIP compliant, but it's worth having a look. I live about an hour from London and I'm finding that paleo eating is taking off here. I wouldn't be surprised if there are a few more pop-up restaurants opening up soon, as well. Good luck!

Hi Nona, I am in London as well and always eager to find new places to buy food. Right now I mostly avoid eating out but would love to hear ideas! I am in north London.

Hello Nona and fractal I'm in north London and I would love to meet people who are in AIP to share ideas, experiences, struggles... Would you like to meet once in some place in London? Looking forward to hearing from you.
Virginia

I am new to AIP (3 weeks in) and live in South east London. I have struggled to find anywhere to eat out and spend hours cooking in order to be compliant! I would love to hear any guidance you have and if you've found in AIP friendly places in central London. I went to Lemonia Greek restaurant in primrose hill a few months ago before starting AIP and I think they have several menu options that would work.

Sorry to have posted in this thread and then disappeared! I'm definitely keen to meet up. Would you all be interested in meeting up at the new Paleo restaurant, perhaps in January? The menu looks like it includes several AIP-friendly options: puretasterestaurant.com/menu/. Other ideas welcome, too. It would be great to meet you all.

Hi!
I've been on AIP for a couple of months and will be coming to central London for a couple of weeks in April (I live in Germany but am doing a distance learning course that means I need to spend 2 weeks at college there). I've booked self-catering accommodation, as I can't see it working any other way, but do you have any tips on where I should shop (for example, where will I be able to get bones from!?!?), and whether you've tried out the restaurant recommended above?
Thanks, petal

Hi Petal, Planet Organic is great for lots of the AIP pantry staples (coconut milk, etc). There are also lots of independent organic shops and a few Whole Foods. Depending on where you live, you may be able to get delivery from Farm Direct which has a great selection of grassfed, free range, sustainable and wild caught fish and meat as well as produce. I've also ordered bones and lard from Green Pastures. Good luck with getting set up in a new city! Let me know if you have other questions.

Hi fractal,
Thanks for the reply! I'm only going to be in London for 2 weeks, so I don't think I'll be able to get things delivered, but will definitely check out if there are any Planet Organic and Whole Foods near where I'll be staying. Do you know of any shops (either butchers or supermarkets) where I'll be able to buy good quality meat, or any offal at all? I'll be in W1E.
Thanks, petal

I'm not familiar with that area but since you are very central, you could easily head to Borough Market which will have a variety of butchers and green grocers. If you google time out london best butchers, you'll get a great list, too.

Thanks!!!!! Am thinking of doing a click and collect order for Waitrose the day after I arrive, too, just to make sure I get my staples like coconut milk without too much searching.

Hi nona, fractal and virginia- I heard about the new paleo restaurant in london. Did you meet up and try it? It does not get good reviews from newspapers, but perhaps the reviews were written by non paleo people. I would like to meet up to share tips and ideas!

It seems people only see replies much later than they're posted. I'd be keen to meet at Pure Taste but perhaps planned well in advance to allow for people to (eventually) see the post and respond. Can private messages be sent in this app? I'm happy to arrange for sometime in June 2015 if people can message me with a firm commitment.
