Where are all my North Carolinians?! What area do you live?
I live in Kernersville, which is in between Winston Salem and Greensboro. I've lived here my whole life. We are planning to move to Wilmington soon after our house sells!

I live in the southeast corner of NC -- Calabash. I've lived here for a dozen years or so. I'm not native to the state but am here to stay, Lord willing!
I am about an hour south of Wilmington.

Hey, y'all! Holly Springs here! (Surrounded by Apex, Cary, Raleigh, Fuquay-Varina.) My husband and I are AIP-ish Paleo. We've added back some nuts and eggs. Celebrating a year Paleo May 13. Our college-aged daughter just started a couple of weeks ago. Our younger daughter, well, she's Paleo when she eats at home anyhow.

Hi Robin,
Look and see if you have some farmer's markets in your area. Also a CSA and/or some local farmers raising pastured meat/eggs/etc. And, as you locate sources, post them to the thread I started on Paleo businesses!

I shop at Super Target for a portion of my groceries and will hopefully get a costco card soon. There is also a facebook group for paleo deals in the area search for "Budget Paleo Finds" I think I will be organizing an AIP meetup in June in the Chapel Hill area. Haven't decided on any details yet.

Hi y'all, I'm in Durham. We moved here from California 10 years ago and haven't looked back. I love my adopted state and especially love living in Durham. We are so fortunate to have a great farmers market that's a paleo dream come true! Besides the pastured pork and free-range chickens, we have several grass-fed beef vendors, a bison rancher, goat, lamb, duck eggs....my mouth is watering just thinking about it.

Please consider adding those businesses/farms to the NC Paleo Businesses thread.... I'd love to find out if the bison rancher ships! I have recently added a pekin and two Blue Swedish ducks to my poultry flock...still waiting to see if they turn out to be ducks or drakes...I hope to be enjoying more duck eggs in the future!

South Durham farmer's market? That's close to me. I'm going to stop by this afternoon.

Thanks frecs, I'll do that. NotLupus, I usually go to the market near Central Park, but I've heard good things about the South Durham market too.

Hi all! I am a transplant from Maryland (by way of Missouri, Michigan, Kentucky, West Virginia, and Virginia!) to Wake Forest, NC. I love it here and hope to stay at least until my son graduates from college.
I very glad to hear about the markets in Durham. Will check out the thread for any information on something closer, Raleigh maybe, but I would surely drive to Durham for access to good choices.

Hello all. NC born and breed. Grew up in the High Point / Archdale area. Now living in Concord (I can hear the race cars and Charlotte Motor Speedway). Been here for about 20 years. Was at Target last night and found what seems to be grass fed meats. Going to do a little research to make sure it is what the label says.
