Hi, Is red palm oil made from the “fruit of oil palms” approved for Paleo AIP eating? Thanks!

It absolutely is! Palm fruits are from the same family as coconuts and the red palm oil comes from the fruit of the tree. Palm kernel oil is not AIP compliant and comes from the kernel of the tree. I absolutely love red palm oil's rich, creamy taste, not to mention that it is very high in beta-carotene (precursor to vitamin A) and vitamin E! It's great on cauliflower rice with a little bit of salt

Palm oil is AIP compliant - the one thing to be aware of is more the ecological concerns with palm oil - it can be very destructive to the environment and wildlife in the areas where it is grown and produced. Buying an eco-friendly/sustainably produced palm oil is possible though.
Of course the environmental concerns don't make palm oil non AIP, it is just something to be aware of when purchasing.
