Hello,
I have just begun the AIP + Low-FODMAP. I live by the sea - hence seafood is abundant where I live. On average I consume 1/4 - 1 pound of seafood per day. Mainly salmon, sardines, oysters, whiting, cod, shrimp, kippers and dory. I really want to reverse my symptoms. I'm concerned about mercury. I can't get a lot of concrete evidence as to the amount of mercury in these species. Am I consuming too much fish? I eat it because I enjoy it not really for any health reasons. I do eat red meat and poultry I just don't enjoy it as much as seafood. In her book Terry Wahls recommends 12 ounces per week. I would appreciate your advice. Thank you.
