I deem this my "confessions of a food-a-holic" diary:
This week was pretty much a busy hurricane of activities, and I erased AIP out of my food verbage. I've been pretty strict for three or four months now (with the occasional indulgence, like honey on my organic apple. Wow, I'm so daring.)
BUT this week was so stressful that I ate fastfood for the first time in forever: delicious, golden fries (not one, not two, but three nights in a row). I topped that off with wings and too many glorious libations--my way of eloquently saying I had a shot-filled Saturday night after not drinking in FOREVER!!!
So, there's my confession #1.
The pain is back but not as severe as before AIP. I am licking my wounds, dusting off my broken pride, and heading back into the food battle ASAP.
Until next time...

I am now recovering from inginual hernia surgery. My disabled mother is trying to care for me, but I can tell she's exhausted. I've been able to eat well for the past three days since the surgery; however, the pain is too severe to not take pain pills. I tried weaning off. Bad idea. So I'm at day three and waiting for the groceries to run out and my kids to start getting restless. Two young boys can only be holed up for so long. So, yes, I feel overwhelmed and exhausted even though I've only been up to use the restroom. What's a girl to do? My boyfriend tries but he's hard to ask for favors. He doesn't focus well and often gets grumpy. Okay. Enough venting. Wish me a speedy recovery. Any tips on surviving pain pills, comment please

Well, no amazing tips on the pills, sorry. Just wanted to give you some mental support. I often find that if I focus on the temporary nature of difficult situations, I already feel a little more relief. Even though I'm still in the middle of it. I know, might sound stupid, but turning your perspective around can be quite a buck load of stress reliever So this said... I don't envy you. Keep up the diary here if you can. You have quite some humor in there
