I've just learned about AIPP in the past few weeks and am giving myself a crash course to learn as much as I can so I can feel better as soon as I can. I just learned that Salicylate Sensitivity is probably a big issue for me. That would explain why increasing use of coconut oil and olive oil along with so many other vegies I'm learning are high in salicylates has made me feel so spacey and increased fatigue, flushing, tinnitus and anxiety after eating. I'm learning the vegies and fruits to avoid but how do I heal leaky gut/autoimmune disease if I can't eat the healing fats (coconut and olive oil) that are on the AIPP? Has anybody maneuvered successfully through this to healing? (Also, from someone else's post who has vitiligo as I do, I understand that red meat might be an issue -- if that's the case, there's another source of healthy fats that I may have to avoid. I have to learn more about this also.)

I can't speak to vitiligo, but there are plenty of other sources of healthy fats. Lard and tallow. You can make your own (plenty of tutorials online) or buy it from your local butcher or online at us wellness meats. Also if you successfully reintroduce it (stage one) grassfed ghee! Attachments:

Have you tried avocado oil? It's wonderful, very light flavor, good for use at higher heats.
